The Davie Arena has been hosting events in the 72,000 square foot covered facility since 1946. It  is located in the heart of the state, Davie, Florida, just west of Fort Lauderdale, and not far away from Miami. The arena hosts approximately 30,000 guests annually. It is home to many big national rodeo events and competitions. In 2009, the arena hosted The Southeastern Circuit Finals Rodeo for the first time, and still does to this day. The Weekley Brothers Davie Pro Rodeo ranked very high in several national awards, including ranking as the #1 rodeo in the country 4 times in in the last 5 years by USA today.

The fun of the atmosphere starts as soon as you walk onto the Weekley Brothers Davie Pro Rodeo property. There are so many fun opportunities for everyone to enjoy!

• Pony rides – Upon entrance, there are ponies of several sizes available for kids to take a safe ride around on and get the full cowboy/cowgirl experience.
• Petting zoo – Meet face to face with some of the animals you might come across on a farm that may include sheep, chickens, goats, and more!
• Food – The big event has many options for food and drinks, with lots of food trucks and stands. My personal favorite is the lemonade stand right before the entrance to the covered arena. There are many food options including BBQ. Yum!
• Vendors – Forgot your cowboy hat at home? Scuffed up your old boots? No problem! There are several local vendor tents located outside of the arena selling gorgeous tack. hats, boots, belts, and more! There are lots of options to purchase bling, leather, and fringe in these tents.
• VIP Section – Purchase a ticket in the VIP section (soon, they sell out FAST) for the full experience. This package includes reserved chairback seats and food & drinks.

Catch the Top Athletes of the Rodeo Sport Competing in These Events:

• Bull Racing – riders try to hold onto 2,000 pound bucking bulls for 8+ seconds and receive a score based on style and position
• Barrel Racing – riders test their speed and agility while turning through a 3 barrel pattern as fast as they can
• Bronc Riding – riders attempt to stay on the backs of bucking horses, attempted both with saddle and bareback
• Team Roping – two riders work together to attempt to rope a steer, one will attempt to rope the horns while the other will attempt to rope the heels
• Calf Roping – riders test their speed and accuracy while trying to lasso a calf while riding on horseback
• Steer Wrestling – also known as bulldogging, riders chase a steer on horseback, attempt to rope the steer, and then leap off their horse and attempt to wrestle the steer onto its side

The Weekley Brothers hosts several events throughout the year.

The Pro Rodeos are in April, June, September and November. The Orange Blossom Rodeos are in February. The Southeastern Circuit Finals Rodeos are in November. The Pro Rodeos for Youth are in June. This means year round, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy events at this beautiful facility!

This large arena is covered and all events are rain or shine. Tickets are sold online and at Griffs Western. Tickets usually sell out quickly, especially the limited amount of VIP tickets, so make sure to grab yours as soon as they are for sale! Make sure to check for fundraisers and giveaways when you enter as well, often set up inside the arena when you first enter. There’s lots to do and so much to see! We are so lucky to have such a great event, essentially in our backyard, and blessed that these events happen so frequently in our Cowboy Town. The Weekley Brothers Davie Pro Rodeo is an event that everyone should go to at least once in their lifetime!
