I am an equine and pet photographer servicing Broward, Palm Beach, and Miami-Dade County Florida. I fell head over boots with the ranch lifestyle as soon as I moved down here at 9 years old. I took any opportunity to be near animals including working at farms, visiting zoos and aquariums, and watching my friends' pets. I starting taking photos when I was 15, and Katy In Design was created in 2015.
I spent 8 years traveling the country with other photographers at some of the top level hunter/jumper competitions. Some of my favorite venues were The Kentucky Horse Park, The Winter Equestrian Festival, and The Saratoga Horse Show.
In my many years of experience, I have photographed thousands of horses, from USEF horse of the year to partnerships that became the Longines FEI top ranked. I've been the priority photography for many shows including Heritage Horse Show, South Florida Dressage Association (SFDA), and SFHJA. Photos I've taken both in and out of the arenas have been featured in several magazines including The Plaid Horse and Horse Illustrated.
Some of the best memories I’ve captured have been people interacting with their horses, dogs, and cows. This isn’t just a job for me, it is a passion, and I look forward to capturing the special bond you have with your loved ones to share for many years.

Katy is really amazing. This photo still takes my breath away, and I will always be grateful for the emergency pre-euthanization photo shoot she did so that my son could have these memories with his first pony. Windy had numerous obvious signs of her illness during the shoot, and Katy photoshopped them all out, so that her photos are forever the pony we loved so much, and not a painful reminder of what she went through. There’s no adequate way to express how thankful we are.
